Saturday 13 November, at 4.00 pm, we will inaugurate the new Christmas exhibition entitled "PresepiAmo"!
It will not be a simple exhibition of cribs, but a journey to discover stories, traditions, folk tales about the crib experiences of Liguria, from the splendor of the eighteenth-century aristocratic crib by Anton Maria Maragliano to the more popular one in the materials and costumes represented, for example, from the "macaques" of Albissola.
Do not miss the now famous mechanical Capuchin nativity scene, created by Franco Curti at the beginning of the twentieth century with its 40 square meters and over 150 characters in movement, capable of fascinating young and old for almost a century, and there will also be the traditional review of paintings by the great masters of Ligurian painting dedicated to the Nativity.
This year the highlight of the exhibition is a donation of ancient mother-of-pearl artifacts from the Holy Land that we invite you to come and discover! The Museum has decided to exhibit this collection as a gift received and immediately shared with the city, so that this Christmas it will be enriched with the iridescent sheen of mother-of-pearl.
The exhibition will be open until January 30, 2022, every day (except Mondays) from 3.00 pm to 6.30 pm!
On Thursdays also in the morning from 10.00 to 13.00.
