Sono 141 le Città dell’Olio che in occasione della Giornata della Camminata tra gli Olivi organizzeranno passeggiate all'aperto negli oliveti, visite a frantoi e olivi secolari, degustazioni di olio e corsi di assaggio e molto altro ancora per raccontare la bontà del nostro olio e far scoprire la bellezza del nostro paesaggio.

Per la Liguria le città che aderiscono a questo progetto sono 12 e sotto sono elencate quelle in Provincia di GENOVA E LA SPEZIA, con il rispettivo programma, che potrete trovare anche sul sito: www.camminatatragliolivi.it

CHIAVARI (GE)
Chiavari è una delle località del levante genovese più conosciute, poiché oltre al grande porto turistico e alle varie spiagge attrezzate ha un clima molto mite che la trasforma in meta di villeggiatura anche nei mesi più freddi. La cittadina in provincia di Genova si trova al centro del Golfo del Tigullio. Il centro è caratterizzato da edifici signorili decorati, con moderne boutique accanto alle quali si trovano le botteghe degli artigiani, che si dedicano ancora all’antica tradizione, come alle ‘sedie campanino’ e al ‘pizzo macramé’. Da un punto di vista culturale nel centro di Chiavari si possono visitare il Santuario di Nostra Signora dell’Orto, cattedrale ottocentesca e la Parrocchiale di San Giovanni Battista, con all’interno tele del Piola, del Fiasella e del De Ferrari, la Chiesa di San Francesco, costruzione duecentesca ristrutturata nel 1630 e che oggi ospita manifestazioni culturali. Chiavari rappresenta un centro nautico considerevole nel Tigullio, sia per via del Porto turistico, che ospita imbarcazione di ogni dimensioni, sia delle sue antiche tradizioni marinare. Molti sono i cantieri nautici, di riparazione, rimessaggio e costruzione, e molti gli artigiani specializzati sia nella lavorazione del legno che della vetroresina, che insieme garantiscono la qualità del lavoro. La città è anche porto di imbarco per varie crociere organizzate dalle molte attività di charter che hanno sede in loco.

La Camminata partirà dal centro storico (zona da P.zza NS dell’Orto) attraverso gli antichi “carruggi” della città , con un accenno alla storia della Città di Chiavari, per poi dirigersi verso la zona campestre. Si raggiungeranno zone coltivate ad oliveto per una visita del luogo alla scoperta delle diverse qualità di olive presenti e le tecniche di raccolta. E’ prevista la presenza di una guida, storica della Città di Chiavari e della Liguria.

NE (GE)
Ne abbraccia tutto il territorio della Val Graveglia, situato a pochi chilometri dalla costa , facilmente raggiungibile dall’uscita del casello autostradale di Lavagna e di Chiavari. Le varie località si possono raggiungere attraverso una fitta reta stradale che dal fondovalle raggiunge tutti i nuclei abitati, spesso ubicati in collina in un ambiente sano ed incontaminato. LaVal Graveglia può essere visitata in qualsiasi periodo dell’anno.E’ possibile effettuare escursioni a piedi in castagneti e prati apprezzando i suggestivi paesaggi naturali cui svariati colori scandiscono l’alternarsi delle stagioni. L’aspetto naturalistico non rappresenta tuttavia l’unico motivo di interesse della valle: in qualsiasi stagione meritano attenzione i resti delle attività minerarie (Gambatesa) e l’architettura caratteristica di numerosi piccoli nuclei storici. Da non dimenticare che la visita permette la possibilità di gustare piatti tipici della cucina dell’entroterra nelle numerose trattorie e agriturismi della zona.

INFO PERCORSO
La passeggiata inizia nel piazzale antistante l’edificio del Municipio del Comune di Ne e prosegue in un primo tratto sullo sterrato collegato ai parcheggi, prosegue sempre in salita, per un breve tratto asfaltato fino a giungere a mezza costa dove inizia il tratto sentieristico (su antica strada interpoderale alle genovese) fino a raggiungere la località di Pian dei Liggi. Durante il percorso sono previste diverse soste in prossimità di aree significative dal punto di vista paesaggistico, naturalistico e storico. La guida locale utilizzerà questi momenti di sosta per descrivere le bellezze locali e ricordare le norme di sicurezza anti Covid e il distanziamento necessario. L’intero percorso attraversa cultivar e particelle agronomiche in vario stato di recupero: l’incolto rimboschito, uliveti in stato di abbandono, tratti in via di recupero e porzioni condotte e in piena produzione (uliveti del Consorzio di Miglioramento Fondiario Pian di Liggi, Caminata). La mattinata proseguirà con la visita guidata al Frantoio Garibaldi, dove si terrà una piccola degustazione di olio evo, nel rispetto delle norme Covid.

NOTA In caso di maltempo l’amministrazione provvederà a comunicare (entro le 24 ore precedenti) la prima data utile per il recupero delle attività previste.

LEVANTO (SP)
Levanto è una delle più belle mete turistiche della riviera di levante, è sinonimo di mare, vacanze e dolce clima. Viene apprezzata sia da italiani cha da stranieri e viene denominata la porta delle Cinque Terre. E’ il punto di partenza perfetto per visitare le Cinque Terre. Questo paese offre ai turisti un’ ampia baia, aree verdi con giardini, strutture di ricezione come hotels, bed and breakfast, negozi e un’ampia scelta di ristoranti. E’ una cittadina famosa, con sentieri lungo la costa e verso l’entroterra, tra piccole frazioni che nascondono sapori della tradizione in un paesaggio di natura incontaminata. Il suo caratteristico centro storico medioevale si raccoglie attorno alla Chiesa di S. Andrea e al colle di S. Giacomo con interessanti palazzi dei secoli XVII e XVIII. Levanto è una cittadina di 5.600 abitanti situata sulla costa ligure orientale, al confine con le Cinque Terre, con le quali condivide ampie zone del Parco Nazionale e dell’Area marina protetta. L’ampia vallata di olivi, vigneti e macchia mediterranea, solcata da 80 chilometri di sentieri che uniscono 18 borghi medievali tra di loro e con il fondovalle, si apre su un litorale di sabbia e ciottoli dotato di moderni stabilimenti balneari e di servizi per la nautica che nel 2016 sono valsi al paese il conferimento della Bandiera Blu. L’economia poggia sostanzialmente sul turismo, con flussi in costante aumento, anche grazie alla filosofia “slow” che ha innescato investimenti nella riqualificazione del centro storico (con conseguente pedonalizzazione viaria e creazione di percorsi sentieristici lungo le mura medievali) e dei borghi collinari, nella trasformazione dell’ex linea ferroviaria in un percorso ciclopedonale di 5 Km sul mare che unisce Levanto, Bonassola e Framura, nell’attivazione di un efficiente servizio di raccolta differenziata “porta a porta” dei rifiuti, nello sviluppo di una ricettività diffusa e di una rete commerciale e di servizi che fanno del paese il centro logistico della riviera spezzina e dell’entroterra. Ricco il calendario delle manifestazioni, che copre gran parte dell’anno. Dalla musica classica (con il Festival “Amfiteatrof”, la Rassegna corale e la Rassegna organistica) a quella moderna, dalle passeggiate enogastronomiche (“La Mangialunga” lungo i sentieri tra i borghi collinari e il “De Gustibus Tour” nel centro storico) agli eventi culturali, dalle iniziative sportive ai mercatini (artigianato, antiquariato, hobbistica, florovivaismo, prodotti agricoli a Km zero), alle feste in spiaggia. Olio, vino e miele sono produzioni di alta qualità; la cucina tipica spazia dalle torte di verdure (da segnalare il “Gattafin”, una frittella di erbe di campo e formaggio) ai piatti di pesce, mentre nelle pasticcerie si trovano i dolci tradizionali.

INFO PERCORSO

L’itinerario prende il via Domenica 24 Ottobre 2021, con ritrovo alle ore 10:30, presso il Piazzale della Chiesa Parrocchiale di N.S. della Guardia. Realizzata dall’Architetto Arturo Danusso la Chiesa Parrocchiale sostituì la Cappellina provvisoria e venne solennemente consacrata dal Vescovo Stella il 1 Luglio 1958. Seguendo l’Antica Via dei Monti, fino alla Loc. Pian di San Rocco, il cammino prosegue verso la frazione di Ridarolo sita sull’estremità sud del crinale che, partendo da San Bartolomeo, separa la valle delle Ghiare da quella di Gallona a circa 104 s.l.m. Qui, proprio all’inizio dell’abitato, si erge maestosa, su un alto sagrato, la Parrocchia di San Giovanni Battista del sec. XIV (con ampliamenti dei sec.XVI e XVIII). Dopo una breve sosta si giunge a San Bartolomeo ove è situata l’omonima Chiesa ( sec. XV) e, percorrendo il versante della collina, si arriva all’abitato di Legnaro. Il suggestivo borgo, con il suo panorama mozzafiato, sarà la meta dei partecipanti alla Camminata. Attraversando i tradizionali “carrugi”, tra orti e uliveti, visita alla Parrocchiale di San Pietro al cui interno si trova un’interessante tavola del XVI sec, restaurata, raffigurante Sant’Antonio Abate, Santa Lucia ed un Santo Vescovo, oltre alla vasca battesimale marmorea (XVI sec.) ed il coro ligneo. Unito alla Parrocchiale, ma ad una quota inferiore, l’Oratorio della Madonna delle Grazie preceduto da un piccolo piazzale. Proprio a Legnaro è prevista la sosta all’Agriturismo Angiolina’s Farm: un’antica casa ligure vista mare, completamente ristrutturata nel rispetto della tradizione, che accoglierà i partecipanti con una degustazione comparata (a cura di un agronomo della Cooperativa Agricoltori della Vallata di Levanto) dell’olio dell’annata passata e quello di nuova spremitura e di vini locali Il rientro a Levanto è previsto per le ore 15:00 con bus navetta, in alternativa è possibile il rientro a piedi attraverso un percorso più breve che da Loc. Legnaro passando per Loc. Busco e Loc. Gallona permette di tornare al Piazzale di N.S. della Guardia.

NOTA – In caso di maltempo il ritrovo, per i partecipanti, è presso Piazza Cavour alle ore 10:30 da cui ha inizio un percorso guidato alla scoperta del centro storico di Levanto. Percorrendo Via Garibaldi e Via Guani, si giunge alla Chiesa intitolata a N.S. Assunta della Costa, all’Oratorio di S. Giacomo per poi proseguire in direzione dell’Ostello “Ospitalia del Mare”. Qui è prevista una breve sosta con visita alla Mostra permanente della Cultura Materiale e spiegazione delle arti e mestieri antichi. Raggiunta la fermata del bus, sita in Via Jacopo da Levanto, i partecipanti verranno trasportati con bus navetta presso la sede della Cooperativa Agricoltori della Vallata di Levanto per una degustazione comparata dell’olio dell’annata passata e quello di nuova spremitura nonchè di vini locali. Il rientro a Levanto è previsto per le ore 14:00 con bus navetta.

CHIAVARI (GE)
Chiavari is one of the best known localities of the eastern Genoese, since in addition to the large tourist port and the various equipped beaches it has a very mild climate that transforms it into a holiday destination even in the coldest months. The town in the province of Genoa is located in the center of the Gulf of Tigullio. The center is characterized by elegantly decorated buildings, with modern boutiques next to which are the workshops of artisans, who still dedicate themselves to the ancient tradition, such as 'campanino chairs' and 'macramé lace'. From a cultural point of view in the center of Chiavari you can visit the Sanctuary of Nostra Signora dell'Orto, a nineteenth-century cathedral and the Parish Church of San Giovanni Battista, with inside paintings by Piola, Fiasella and De Ferrari, the Church of San Francesco, a thirteenth-century building renovated in 1630 and which today hosts cultural events. Chiavari represents a considerable nautical center in Tigullio, both because of the tourist port, which hosts boats of all sizes, and its ancient maritime traditions. There are many shipyards, repair, storage and construction sites, and many craftsmen specialized in both woodworking and fiberglass, which together guarantee the quality of the work. The city is also a port of embarkation for various cruises organized by the many charter activities that are based on site.
ROUTE INFO
The walk will start from the historic center (area from Piazza NS dell’Orto) through the ancient "carruggi" of the city, with a hint of the history of the city of Chiavari, and then head towards the rural area. We will reach areas cultivated with olive groves for a visit to the place to discover the different qualities of olives present and the harvesting techniques. The presence of a guide, a historian from the City of Chiavari and Liguria, is expected.

NE (GE)
It embraces the entire territory of Val Graveglia, located a few kilometers from the coast, easily accessible from the Lavagna and Chiavari motorway exits. The various locations can be reached through a dense road network that from the valley floor reaches all the inhabited areas, often located on the hills in a healthy and uncontaminated environment. LaVal Graveglia can be visited at any time of the year. It is possible to go hiking in chestnut groves and meadows, appreciating the evocative natural landscapes whose various colors mark the changing of the seasons. However, the naturalistic aspect is not the only reason for the valley's interest: in any season, the remains of mining activities (Gambatesa) and the characteristic architecture of numerous small historic centers deserve attention. Do not forget that the visit allows the opportunity to taste typical dishes of the hinterland cuisine in the numerous trattorias and farmhouses in the area.

The walk begins in the square in front of the Town Hall building of the Municipality of Ne and continues in a first stretch on the dirt road connected to the parking lots, it continues uphill, for a short asphalted stretch until it reaches halfway up where the path begins (on ancient interpoderal road to the Genoese) up to the locality of Pian dei Liggi.
Along the way there will be several stops in the vicinity of significant areas from a landscape, naturalistic and historical point of view. The local guide will use these moments of rest to describe the local beauties and remember the anti Covid safety rules and the necessary distance. The entire route crosses cultivars and agronomic particles in various states of recovery: overgrown reforested, abandoned olive groves, stretches under recovery and portions conducted and in full production (olive groves of the Pian di Liggi Land Improvement Consortium, Caminata ). The morning will continue with a guided tour of the Garibaldi oil mill, where a small tasting of extra virgin olive oil will be held, in compliance with Covid regulations.

NOTE In case of bad weather, the administration will communicate (within the previous 24 hours) the first useful date for the recovery of the planned activities.

LEVANTO (SP)
Levanto is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations on the eastern coast, it is synonymous with sea, holidays and a mild climate. It is appreciated by both Italians and foreigners and is called the door of the Cinque Terre. It is the perfect starting point for visiting the Cinque Terre. This town offers tourists a large bay, green areas with gardens, reception facilities such as hotels, bed and breakfasts, shops and a wide choice of restaurants. It is a famous town, with paths along the coast and towards the hinterland, between small hamlets that hide traditional flavors in a landscape of unspoiled nature. Its characteristic medieval historical center is gathered around the Church of S. Andrea and the hill of S. Giacomo with interesting buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries. Levanto is a town of 5,600 inhabitants located on the eastern Ligurian coast, on the border with the Cinque Terre, with which it shares large areas of the National Park and the Marine Protected Area.
The wide valley of olive trees, vineyards and Mediterranean scrub, crossed by 80 kilometers of paths that connect 18 medieval villages to each other and to the valley floor, opens onto a sand and pebble coast equipped with modern bathing establishments and services for nautical sector which in 2016 earned the town the Blue Flag award. The economy is essentially based on tourism, with steadily increasing flows, also thanks to the "slow" philosophy that has triggered investments in the redevelopment of the historic center (with consequent pedestrianization of roads and creation of footpaths along the medieval walls) and hill villages, in the transformation of the former railway line into a cycle / pedestrian path of 5 km on the sea that connects Levanto, Bonassola and Framura, in the activation of an efficient separate waste collection service "door a porta "of waste, in the development of a widespread receptivity and a commercial and service network that make the country the center ogistic of the La Spezia Riviera and the hinterland. The calendar of events is rich, covering most of the year. From classical music (with the "Amfiteatrof" Festival, the Choral Review and the Organ Review) to modern music, from food and wine walks ("La Mangialunga" along the paths between the hill villages and the "De Gustibus Tour" in the historic center) to cultural events, from sporting initiatives to markets (handicrafts, antiques, hobbies, horticulture, agricultural products at zero km), to beach parties. Oil, wine and honey are high quality productions; the typical cuisine ranges from vegetable pies (the “Gattafin”, a pancake made with wild herbs and cheese) to fish dishes, while traditional sweets can be found in the pastry shops.

The itinerary kicks off on Sunday 24 October 2021, meeting at 10:30 am, at the square of the Parish Church of N.S. of the Guard.
Built by the architect Arturo Danusso, the Parish Church replaced the provisional chapel and was solemnly consecrated by Bishop Stella on July 1, 1958. Following the Antica Via dei Monti, up to Pian di San Rocco, the path continues towards the hamlet of Ridarolo located on the southern end of the ridge which, starting from San Bartolomeo, separates the Ghiare valley from that of Gallona at about 104 above sea level Here, at the very beginning of the town, the Parish of San Giovanni Battista of the century rises majestically on a high churchyard. XIV (with extensions of the XVI and XVIII centuries). After a short stop you reach San Bartolomeo where the church of the same name is located (15th century) and, along the slope of the hill, you arrive at the town of Legnaro. The suggestive village, with its breathtaking view, will be the destination of the participants in the Walk. Crossing the traditional "carrugi", among vegetable gardens and olive groves, visit the Parish Church of San Pietro inside which there is an interesting 16th century table, restored, depicting Sant'Antonio Abate, Santa Lucia and a Holy Bishop, as well as the baptismal font marble (16th century) and the wooden choir. United to the parish church, but at a lower level, the Oratory of the Madonna delle Grazie preceded by a small square. In Legnaro there will be a stop at the Agriturismo Angiolina's Farm: an ancient Ligurian house overlooking the sea, completely renovated with respect for tradition, which will welcome the participants with a comparative tasting (by an agronomist of the Farmers' Cooperative of the Levanto Valley) of the past vintage and the new pressing and of local wines The return to Levanto is scheduled for 3:00 pm by shuttle bus, alternatively it is possible to return on foot via a shorter path than from Loc. Legnaro passing through Loc. Busco and Loc. Gallona allows you to return to the Piazzale di NS of the Guard.

NOTE - In case of bad weather the meeting for the participants is at Piazza Cavour at 10:30 from which a guided tour to discover the historic center of Levanto begins.
Going along Via Garibaldi and Via Guani, you reach the church dedicated to N.S. Assunta della Costa, to the Oratory of S. Giacomo and then continue in the direction of the "Ospitalia del Mare" Hostel. Here there is a short stop with a visit to the permanent exhibition of material culture and an explanation of ancient arts and crafts. Reached the bus stop, located in Via Jacopo da Levanto, the participants will be transported by shuttle bus to the headquarters of the Farmers' Cooperative of the Levanto Valley for a comparative tasting of the oil of the past vintage and that of new pressing as well as of local wines . The return to Levanto is scheduled for 2:00 pm by shuttle bus.
