Intimate dialogues between nature - FRANCO VOLPI's solo show from 11 to 19 September.
Franco Volpi, as a self-taught painter, loves to paint with colors, generally in oil on canvas, the reality that surrounds him, for this reason he could be defined as a realist painter and specifically a prevalent landscape painter.
The focus of this painting is certainly also the harmony that Volpi creates between human in transit and nature. Seas, mountains, lakes, waterfalls, immense skies meet from time to time the constructions of man, such as villages and enchanting places set like pearls of beauty in the thousand faces of a preserved, non-technological environment, seen as it would be desirable, always intact.
It is also right to focus on the portraitist Franco Volpi. Here the subjects are beautifully captured, to externalize their character, personality. Franco Volpi, self-taught, has no references or academic indoctrinations, his aim is to accurately produce his painting, to better convey the emotion felt in the act of painting what his eyes see and above all that his poetic soul feels.
The eye of Franco Volpi trained by his previous profession as a photographer demonstrates that he can see even without the lens, since the retinal image knows how to recompose itself in the artist's strongly reworking mind. And the mind of a capable artist, the intimate and irrational one, the deep and instinctive one, brings back a sense of reality very different from reality itself, in this sense the artist elaborates the image in the poetic feeling to give us a personal feeling, his emotions. To conclude, I would say that even in this exhibition the master Franco Volpi, as I wrote on another occasion, shows off his skills by demonstrating that: "His pictorial-figurative world as a whole transmits positive energies, it is not trivial, not cold and anonymous nor façade or postcard, but intimate and true, it charges us with harmony, it brings a delicate lyricism, it penetrates us inside giving us emotions and sweetness ”.
