"The invisible wall - Ventimiglia 2015-2021". First stop in the province of Imperia.
The curator, Ferdinando Molteni: "Reportage on the events of Ventimiglia from 2015 to today, starting from when dozens of migrants headed to France were stranded on the rocks in front of the sea of ??the border city. Jacopo Gugliotta, photojournalist and journalist, documented that fact with his camera. And everything that happened after. And his photos have become the exhibition that you can admire, after the exhibitions in Sassello and Quiliano (SV), at the headquarters of the Circolo Parasio which sponsors the event. our times A reason for reflection.
Then something new happened. A few weeks ago, in Ventimiglia, a 23-year-old boy from Guinea, Musa Balde, was treacherously attacked by three Italian criminals. Obviously, the fault lies with Musa: he is a thief, and so he is sent to one of those places of concentration - which today are called Cpr, that is, a detention center for repatriation - in Turin.
Musa Balde, born free, does what all the free born have always done, from Native Americans (the Indian chief Osceola cut off his hand to escape the chain), to slaves, to deportees. He tried to escape. And he succeeded.
He hanged himself. And he is finally free again. The exhibition was dedicated to the young Muse ".
