ARNASCO (SV)
Arnasco is a charming and sunny town surrounded by the green of pine forests and olive groves. It dominates the Rio Arveglio Valley where the panorama opens towards the Albenga plain. Today the town of Arnasco is distributed in the three hamlets that make it up: Chiesa, Menosio and Bezzo. To visit in the center of Arnasco is the Museum of the Olive and Farming Civilization, and today the olive is one of the most precious and important fruits for the Arnasco economy. The predominantly cultivated variety of olives is the "Pignola" (so called for its pine nut taste) locally known as "Arnasca". Themes of peasant life and beyond have been immortalized in the numerous murals painted on the walls that line the main street of Arnasco, which have now become an attraction for many tourists. Characteristic is the nineteenth-century conical stone structure called "Torre di Davì", near the hamlet of Menosio, built according to legend by a single person, following the ancient technique of dry stone walls. It is possible to reach Arnasco from the provincial road for Pieve di Teco and is about a quarter of an hour by car from the Leca d'Albenga motorway junction.

PIEVE DI TECO (IM)
In the same name of Pieve di Teco there is the original nature of its existence: it is the original place of administration of the Sacraments (the Pieve di Santa Marina della Ripa) and place of residence (Teco da Tectum, "home"). It is a town with an obligatory foundation at the behest of the Clavesana, local lords of Piedmontese origin, in the mid-thirteenth century. The residents of the area are gathered along one of the vital realities of the site, the road that connects Piedmont to the sea. As defense stood a castle on the eastern edge of the building system, demolished after 1625. Arcaded houses and centuries-old commercial activities develop along the road axis, including footwear. City of stone, a true capital of the Ligurian hinterland, then a key to Genoese power from the 16th century. The economic and political wealth of Pieve materializes in the great quality of the religious and civil monuments present, which are still capable of reserving suggestive impressions.
ROUTE INFO
The nature trail starts from Pieve di Teco, Monumento ai caduti locality, along an ancient mule track, among the olive trees that climbs up to the Acquetico hamlet, where you can visit an oil mill. We will continue the route passing through olive groves of Taggiasca cultivars until we arrive in Località Teco. The descent will begin, admiring Pieve di Teco from above. Once in the village, a snack will be organized with tasting of bread, oil and typical local products.
It is a long journey of landscape importance linked to the history and culture of the olive tree. Participants will be accompanied by a local nature guide. In the elaboration of the event there will be the management of a historian enthusiast of the area who will provide information and suggestions on the route and on the olive-growing landscape.
