“La settimana del Cassini

Dal 20 al 25 settembre a Sanremo gli eventi organizzati al Liceo G.D. Cassini
Laboratori a Villa Ormond, incontri e musica in piazza Borea d’Olmo.

È in programma da lunedì 20 a sabato 25 settembre a Sanremo “La Settimana del Cassini”, l’evento che gli studenti dell’omonimo liceo hanno organizzato per celebrare il 160° anniversario dalla sua fondazione.

“La Settimana del Cassini” vivrà di due momenti: la mattina, con una serie di laboratori su temi di attualità e di interesse comune, ospitati nel parco di Villa Ormond, e la sera, in piazza Borea D’Olmo, con conferenze, incontri e musica aperte al pubblico.

Tutte le attività saranno a partecipazione gratuita.

L’idea è nata nell’inverno del 2021 dal desiderio di un gruppo di studenti (Filippo Rati, Giacomo Persico, Lorenzo Ardizio, Edoardo Ruffo e Camillo Allavena, che compongono l’attuale direttivo) di coinvolgere la comunità scolastica e colmare il senso di spaesamento che la pandemia aveva lasciato.

In breve tempo sono stati coinvolti un centinaio di ragazzi del liceo, nella fase di pianificazione, prima, e di realizzazione, poi.

L’iniziativa degli studenti è stata apprezzata dal Consiglio d’Istituto del Liceo G. D. Cassini, in particolare, dal Dirigente Scolastico Dott. Avv. Claudio Valleggi, che ha finanziato interamente l’evento, e dal Comune di Sanremo, che ha patrocinato la manifestazione e ha concesso spazi e permessi, nelle persone del sindaco Alberto Biancheri, dell’Assessore alla Cultura Silvana Ormea, del Vicesindaco e Assessore alle Politiche giovanili Costanza Pireri e dell’Assessore al Turismo Giuseppe Faraldi.

“La Settimana del Cassini” è sostenuta da fondi stanziati dal Ministero dell’Istruzione per il recupero della socialità nella scuola, contributi pensati soprattutto per il periodo successivo alla pandemia.

I laboratori sono brevi percorsi di 25 minuti ciascuno, destinati alle classi del Liceo G.D. Cassini, e tratteranno tematiche quali affettività, ambiente, incomunicabilità, relatività e impegno sociale. Sono organizzati nel parco di Villa Ormond, all’aperto, da lunedì 20 a venerdì 24 settembre in orario scolastico. In diversi stand nel giardino pubblico, un gruppo di studenti presenterà l’argomento oggetto del laboratorio. La finalità è quella di instaurare dibattiti e confronti sui temi proposti, al di fuori della tradizionale ottica di apprendimento.

Ma “La Settimana del Cassini” continua anche nel suo spazio serale, in piazza Borea D’Olmo, per cinque appuntamenti a ingresso gratuito alle ore 21.00.

Il palco, concesso dal Comune di Sanremo, diventerà teatro di incontri con ospiti di alto profilo culturale. La prima serata, lunedì 20 settembre, accoglie, oltre agli interventi delle istituzioni e della dirigenza del Liceo G. D. Cassini, la giovanissima volontaria e attivista Maddalena Mizzoni; Francesco Fadigati, scrittore ed esperto dantista, sarà a Sanremo martedì 21 settembre; mercoledì 22 è atteso il fotoreporter Stefano Schirato, già collaboratore di testate internazionali quali The New York Times e CNN; Elena Ugolini, Sottosegretario al Ministero dell’Istruzione dal 2011 al 2013, sarà ospite giovedì 23 settembre; mentre venerdì 24 protagonisti saranno lo scrittore e poeta Giuseppe Conte e il filologo Fabio Barricalla.

Assume particolare significato la presenza di due ex “cassiniani”, Francesco Fadigati e Fabio Barricalla, e la riflessione che lo scrittore imperiese Giuseppe Conte, insieme al professor Barricalla, svilupperà su Italo Calvino, il più celebre fra i “cassiniani” di ogni tempo.

La musica avrà un ruolo molto importante durante gli eventi serali. Sul palco di piazza Borea D’Olmo suoneranno la Giovane Orchestra della Riviera dei Fiori Note Libere (nel giorno di apertura de “La Settimana”), gli Swing Kids-Orchestra Stabile dello swing diretta da Freddy Colt (venerdì 24 settembre) per chiudere, sabato 25 settembre, con un nome attesissimo dai giovani sanremesi: Tredici Pietro, rapper classe 1997 con oltre 21 milioni di visualizzazioni su YouTube e mezzo milione di ascoltatori mensili sulla piattaforma Spotify. Bolognese, figlio d’arte, Tredici Pietro, alias Pietro Morandi, rappresenta uno dei più talentuosi e giovanissimi rapper della nuova generazione. Il suo set sarà aperto dal sanremese Hamza Camo.

L’ingresso agli eventi serali è gratuito e aperto al pubblico; solo nella serata conclusiva, sabato 25 settembre, i posti a sedere in piazza Borea D’Olmo saranno riservati agli studenti del liceo Cassini.

È necessaria la prenotazione sul sito della manifestazione e l’esibizione del Green Pass e di un documento di identità.

BIOGRAFIE

Maddalena Mizzoni
Classe 2005 di Boville Ernica (FR), frequenta il Liceo Turriziani di Frosinone. È membro di Prime Minister, scuola di politica per giovani donne; nella scorsa estate ha prestato lavoro come volontaria in Ghana.


Francesco Fadigati
Nato nel 1981 a Sanremo, è insegnante, scrittore, dantista e Dirigente Scolastico presso il centro scolastico di Calcinate “La Traccia”, in provincia di Bergamo. Prima della sua carriera lavorativa Fadigati è stato studente e Rappresentante d’Istituto del Liceo G.D. Cassini. Dal 2016 fa parte del comitato scientifico che insieme a Franco Nembrini sta redigendo il commento integrale della Divina Commedia pubblicato da Mondadori. Dal 2017 svolge il compito di Rettore dell’istituto.


Stefano Schirato
È un fotoreporter bolognese, ha collaborato con note testate come The New York Times, CNN, Newsweek Japan, Al-Jazeera, Vanity Fair, Le Figaro, Geo International, Burn Magazine, National Geographic e L’Espresso. Schirato è anche docente presso la scuola di fotografia Mood Photography di Pescara, di cui è socio fondatore.


Elena Ugolini
Già sottosegretario al Ministero dell’Istruzione dal 2011 al 2013, è Dirigente Scolastico presso il Liceo Malpighi di Bologna. Durante il suo incarico al Malpighi coordina la nascita e lo sviluppo del laboratorio didattico "La Fisica in moto" all'interno dell'azienda Ducati (ora inserito nelle azioni di sistema del Piano Nazionale Lauree Scientifiche promosso dal MIUR e aperto a tutti gli studenti italiani ed europei).


Giuseppe Conte
Classe 1945, è poeta, drammaturgo, traduttore, critico letterario e giurato al Premio Strega. Tra le sue numerose e apprezzatissime pubblicazioni c'è anche il romanzo "Dante in Love", edito da Giunti nel 2021, che celebra i 700 anni dalla morte del Sommo Poeta. Conte è stato anche amico di Italo Calvino, forse il più celebre tra coloro che hanno frequentato il Liceo G.D. Cassini di Sanremo.


Fabio Barricalla
È scrittore, filologo ed insegnante. Ha sviluppato negli anni nuove tecniche di insegnamento di successo che lo hanno portato a pubblicare insieme ad alcuni studenti "Formiche in fila indiana", edito da Lo Studiolo, casa editrice di cui Barricalla è anche nel comitato editoriale. Fabio Barricalla ha frequentato il Liceo G.D. Cassini sia come studente che in veste di insegnante.


Giovane Orchestra della Riviera dei Fiori Note Libere
La Giovane Orchestra della Riviera dei Fiori “Note Libere” nasce a Sanremo nel 2013, e si compone di un gruppo strumentale giovanile la cui età varia tra gli 8 e i 20 anni. I ragazzi si sono esibiti, tra gli altri, al Teatro Ariston di Sanremo nell’ambito della manifestazione La Giornata della Legalità, al Festival Internazionale della Musica FIM di Genova, alla Sala Estense di Ferrara, al Teatro di Tresigallo (FE), al Teatro Filodrammatici di Cremona, al Festival teatrale di Borgio Verezzi e in Francia (Île Sainte Marguerite, Menton, Le Cannet). Tra le partecipazioni di maggiore rilevanza, quella al Premio Tenco 2017 al Teatro Ariston al fianco del cantante Giuliano Sangiorgi. Recentemente l’Orchestra ha eseguito opere di notevole importanza e spessore artistico col Coro Troubar Clair: Sunrise Mass del compositore norvegese Ola Gjeilo, il Requiem di Gabriel Fauré e Septem Ultima Verba del compositore newyorkese Michael John Trotta esibendosi, in prima assoluta in Europa, sotto la bacchetta del compositore, a Napoli (Basilica di San Lorenzo Maggiore) e a Roma (Basilica Papale di San Paolo fuori le mura e Chiesa dei Santi XII Apostoli), riscuotendo sempre ottimi consensi di pubblico e di critica. La giovane orchestra ha realizzato nel 2019 una serie di Concerti nella Provincia di Imperia con l’Orchestra Giovanile della Comunità europea di Bruxelles durante la Settimana Santa.


Swing Kids - Orchestra Stabile dello Swing
L’Orchestra Stabile dello Swing, nata nel 2016 come laboratorio per i giovani talenti del jazz ponentino, è ormai una consolidata realtà musicale in cui militano alcuni tra i migliori musicisti del territorio ligure. Fin da subito il direttore artistico e “chef d’orchestra” Freddy Colt ha indirizzato il repertorio della band sulla riscoperta di autori e musiche sincopate italiane tra gli anni 30 e gli anni 50, soprattutto in ottica strumentale ma anche con l’apporto di cantanti.


Tredici Pietro
Classe 1997, al secolo Pietro Morandi, nasce a San Lazzaro di Savena, piccolo comune in provincia di Bologna. Esordisce nel mondo della musica nel 2018 con il singolo “Pizza e Fichi”, che ha raccolto 4milioni 800mila visualizzazioni su YouTube. L’anno successivo, l’artista si fa conoscere al grande pubblico annunciando il suo primo disco, “Assurdo”. Nel 2021 esce il suo ultimo EP dal titolo “X Questa Notte”, grazie al quale riscuote un enorme successo: con questo raggiunge quasi mezzo milione di ascoltatori mensili sulla piattaforma di streaming musicale Spotify. Ad oggi ha un contratto con la casa discografica Universal, una delle più grandi major dell’industria musicale.


Hamza Camo
Sanremese classe 2002, al secolo Hamza Soummade, inizia ad appassionarsi alla musica rap nei primi anni in cui frequenta il Liceo G.D. Cassini, facendo uscire dei freestyle su Instagram. Nella primavera del 2021 esce il suo primo singolo “Maruego”, che parla delle sue origini marocchine: in poco tempo raggiunge oltre le 5000 visualizzazioni su You Tube e i 6000 ascolti su Spotify. Hamza Camo decide di promuovere su Instagram i suoi progetti musicali, apprezzati per le sue elaborate linee melodiche. Infatti, accompagnato da un videoclip, nell’estate pubblica il pezzo “BUIO x2”, che raccoglie 2000 views. È con queste premesse che Hamza Camo si presenta a “La Settimana del Cassini” dove, oltre ai pezzi citati, canterà dal vivo anche alcuni inediti.

“The Cassini week

From 20 to 25 September in Sanremo the events organized at the Liceo G.D. Cassini

"Cassini Week" is scheduled from Monday 20 to Saturday 25 September in Sanremo, the event that the students of the high school of the same name have organized to celebrate the 160th anniversary of its foundation.

"The Cassini Week" will experience two moments: in the morning, with a series of workshops on current issues and of common interest, hosted in the park of Villa Ormond, and in the evening, in Piazza Borea D'Olmo, with conferences, meetings and music open to the public.

All activities will be free of charge.

The idea was born in the winter of 2021 from the desire of a group of students (Filippo Rati, Giacomo Persico, Lorenzo Ardizio, Edoardo Ruffo and Camillo Allavena, who make up the current board) to involve the school community and fill the sense of disorientation that the pandemic had left.

In a short time, about a hundred high school students were involved, first in the planning phase, and then in the implementation phase.

The students' initiative was appreciated by the Institute Council of the Liceo GD Cassini, in particular, by the Headmaster Dr. Avv. Claudio Valleggi, who financed the event entirely, and by the Municipality of Sanremo, which sponsored the event. and granted spaces and permits, in the persons of the mayor Alberto Biancheri, the councilor for culture Silvana Ormea, the deputy mayor and councilor for youth policies Costanza Pireri and the councilor for tourism Giuseppe Faraldi.

"The Cassini Week" is supported by funds allocated by the Ministry of Education for the recovery of sociality in the school, contributions designed especially for the period following the pandemic.

The workshops are short courses of 25 minutes each, intended for the classes of the Liceo G.D. Cassini, and will deal with issues such as affectivity, environment, incommunicability, relativity and social commitment.
They are organized in the park of Villa Ormond, outdoors, from Monday 20 to Friday 24 September during school hours. In various stands in the public garden, a group of students will present the subject matter of the workshop. The aim is to establish debates and comparisons on the proposed topics, outside the traditional learning perspective.

But "The Cassini Week" also continues in its evening space, in Piazza Borea D’Olmo, for five events with free admission at 9.00 pm.

The stage, granted by the Municipality of Sanremo, will become the scene of meetings with guests of a high cultural profile. The first evening, Monday 20 September, welcomes, in addition to the interventions of the institutions and the management of the Liceo G. D. Cassini, the very young volunteer and activist Maddalena Mizzoni; Francesco Fadigati, writer and Dante expert, will be in Sanremo on Tuesday 21 September; Wednesday 22 is expected the photojournalist Stefano Schirato, former collaborator of international newspapers such as The New York Times and CNN; Elena Ugolini, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education from 2011 to 2013, will be a guest on Thursday 23 September; while on Friday 24 the protagonists will be the writer and poet Giuseppe Conte and the philologist Fabio Barricalla.

The presence of two former "Cassinians", Francesco Fadigati and Fabio Barricalla, and the reflection that the imperial writer Giuseppe Conte, together with Professor Barricalla, will develop on Italo Calvino, the most famous among the "Cassinians" of all time, takes on particular significance.

Music will play a very important role during the evening events. On the stage in piazza Borea D'Olmo, the Young Orchestra of the Riviera dei Fiori Note Free will play (on the opening day of "The Week"), the Swing Kids-Orchestra Stabile dello swing conducted by Freddy Colt (Friday 24 September) to close, Saturday 25 September, with a name highly anticipated by the young people of Sanremo: Tredici Pietro, rapper born in 1997 with over 21 million views on YouTube and half a million monthly listeners on the Spotify platform.
Bolognese, son of art, Tredici Pietro, aka Pietro Morandi, represents one of the most talented and young rappers of the new generation. His set will be opened by Hamza Camo from Sanremo.

Admission to evening events is free and open to the public; only on the final evening, Saturday 25 September, will the seats in Piazza Borea D’Olmo be reserved for Cassini high school students.

Reservations are required on the event website and the Green Pass and an identity document must be shown.

Given the limited number of seats, the appointments will be streamed simultaneously on the Cassini's La Week YouTube channel.

Maddalena Mizzoni
Born in 2005 from Boville Ernica (FR), she attended the Liceo Turriziani in Frosinone. She is a member of Prime Minister, a school of politics for young women; last summer she volunteered in Ghana.


Francesco Fadigati
Born in 1981 in Sanremo, he is a teacher, writer, Dantist and Headmaster at the school center of Calcinate "La Traccia", in the province of Bergamo. Before his career, Fadigati was a student and Institute Representative of the Liceo G.D. Cassini. Since 2016 he has been a member of the scientific committee which, together with Franco Nembrini, is preparing the integral commentary on the Divine Comedy published by Mondadori. Stefano Schirato
He is a Bolognese photojournalist, he has collaborated with well-known newspapers such as The New York Times, CNN, Newsweek Japan, Al-Jazeera, Vanity Fair, Le Figaro, Geo International, Burn Magazine, National Geographic and L 'Espresso. Schirato is also a teacher at the photography school Mood Photography in Pescara, of which he is a founding member.


Elena Ugolini
Former undersecretary of the Ministry of Education from 2011 to 2013, he is a school manager at the Malpighi high school in Bologna.
During his tenure at Malpighi he coordinates the creation and development of the "Physics in motion" educational laboratory within the Ducati company (now included in the system actions of the National Scientific Degree Plan promoted by MIUR and open to all Italian students and Europeans).


Giuseppe Conte
Born in 1945, he is a poet, playwright, translator, literary critic and juror for the Premio Strega. Among his numerous and highly appreciated publications there is also the novel "Dante in Love", published by Giunti in 2021, which celebrates the 700th anniversary of the death of the Supreme Poet. Conte was also a friend of Italo Calvino, perhaps the most famous of those who attended the Liceo G.D. Cassini of Sanremo.


Fabio Barricalla
He is a writer, philologist and teacher. Over the years he has developed new successful teaching techniques that have led him to publish "Ants in single file" with some students, published by Lo Studiolo, a publishing house of which Barricalla is also on the editorial board. Fabio Barricalla attended the Liceo G.D. Cassini both as a student and as a teacher.


Young Orchestra of the Riviera dei Fiori Notes Free
The Young Orchestra of the Riviera dei Fiori "Free Notes" was born in Sanremo in 2013, and is made up of a youth instrumental group whose age varies between 8 and 20 years. The boys performed, among others, at the Ariston Theater in Sanremo as part of the Legality Day event, at the FIM International Music Festival in Genoa, at the Sala Estense in Ferrara, at the Theater in Tresigallo (FE), at the Theater Amateurs of Cremona, at the Borgio Verezzi Theater Festival and in France (Île Sainte Marguerite, Menton, Le Cannet). Among the most important participations, the one in the 2017 Tenco Prize at the Ariston Theater alongside the singer Giuliano Sangiorgi. Recently the Orchestra has performed works of considerable importance and artistic depth with the Troubar Clair Choir: Sunrise Mass by the Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo, the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré and Septem Ultima Verba by the New York composer Michael John Trotta performing, for the first time in Europe, under the composer's baton, in Naples (Basilica of San Lorenzo Maggiore) and in Rome (Papal Basilica of San Paolo fuori le mura and Chiesa dei Santi XII Apostoli), always receiving excellent acclaim from the public and critics.
The young orchestra staged a series of Concerts in the Province of Imperia in 2019 with the Youth Orchestra of the European Community in Brussels during Holy Week.


Swing Kids - Stable Swing Orchestra
The Stabile dello Swing Orchestra, founded in 2016 as a laboratory for young talents of Ponentino jazz, is now a consolidated musical reality in which some of the best musicians of the Ligurian territory play. Right from the start, the artistic director and "orchestra chef" Freddy Colt directed the band's repertoire on the rediscovery of Italian authors and syncopated music between the 30s and 50s, especially from an instrumental point of view but also with the contribution of singers .


Thirteen Peter
Born in 1997, in the century Pietro Morandi, he was born in San Lazzaro di Savena, a small town in the province of Bologna. He made his debut in the world of music in 2018 with the single "Pizza e Fichi", which collected 4 million 800 thousand views on YouTube. The following year, the artist made himself known to the general public by announcing his first album, "Absurd".
